Rating or sorting: Terminology matters

In this article, we argue that the term “sorting” (in MCDA), although established within a well-defined community, is unappropriate for linguistic, scientific and pragmatic reasons. We present discuss such reasons suggest use of “rating”, since fitting better both foundational part class methods necessity to improve visibility our community.
